Aftercare Options

Aquamation

We are excited to announce that effective January 1, 2025, we will be offering aquamation services for our beloved clients and their pets. We are passionate about providing the best service we can throughout the end of life process, and now we are able to include aftercare in our service offerings as well. We offer aquamation through our own, family-owned company, Old River Aquamation. Your pets will receive the same loving, respectful attention from the moment we meet, all the way until their ash remains are returned.

Aquamation, also called alkaline hydrolysis or water-based cremation, is a gentle alternative to traditional flame cremation. It is similar to the process that occurs in nature when a body is buried in the soil. Essentially, aquamation uses water, temperature, and alkalinity to break down organic tissues. The process uses significantly less energy than cremation, and does not burn fossil fuels. Both private and standard options are available, so families can still have their beloved pet's ashes returned to them in an urn if preferred, or those remains can be scattered if the family chooses not to keep them.

Aquamation is our standard aftercare option. Pricing is based on body weight, and if the family would like remains returned to them or not. Please contact us for an estimate. You can also check out our website for more information:

Traditional Cremation

Traditional flame-based cremation is also an excellent choice for aftercare. If you or your family prefer cremation, there are multiple reputable crematories serving the Little Rock area that would be able to assist. Please feel free to contact them and make arrangements for cremation for your pet. We will not be able to provide transport to the crematory.

Burial

Burial may be an option for individuals in certain areas. Please follow local laws and ordinances regarding burial regulations in your area. We are unable to assist with burial.
